Two tales of war... one story. Genealogy of the Holy War is the second FE instalment on the SNES. The game features two chapters (Almost like two games), Chapter 1, the first generation, that centers around Sigurd. Chapter 2 follows Sigurd's tale, centering around his son Seliph. Play as both Sigurd and Seliph across a variety of story driven missions on the continent of Jugdral. The game plays a tactical RPG where players battle using a turn based system. A new feature is introduced with the Weapon Triangle, which governs the opposing strengths and weaknesses of opposing attacks. All characters are subject to permanent death if defeated in battle. Character relationships also form a core part of the gameplay, including optional conversations and story driven romances. Genealogy of the Holy War is believed by many to be the best FE game on the SNES.
